Favourite Single & Duo Shadows

Everyone loves a good eyeshadow palette, but sometimes you just need that one single that’s looking at you in the store…

Clinique Bonus Event Gift & NARS Kalahari

I won’t talk too much about the Clinique trio as it was a part of a Bonus Event gift set and is probable not regularly available but NARS Kalahari is such an amazing duo. It consists of a satin deep chocolate brown and a shimmery khaki shade which looks georgous together on the eyes! This is my all-time favourite formula, it blends effortlessly, is the right level of pigmentation and is so buttery!

Colourpop Weenie

It might have taken a ridiculous amount of money and time to get this shadow to my home in the UK, but it was so worth it! I’ve never come across a formula like these Colourpop shadows and this shade is beautiful! It’s heavily pigmented, so best to apply with caution but has a great effect when finished.

Kiko Milano Bright Duo Baked Eyeshadow – Pearly Mauve

I havn’t had this a long time, I picked it up in my Black Friday Sale Haul┬ábut it has quickly become a favourite. The colours are beautiful and work so well for blue/grey eyes like mine!

Make Up Forever Artist Shadow Singles – Taupe

I found this gem in TK Maxx a couple of months ago and instantly fell in love with it. Thw colour is right up my street; I love cool toned taupes and greys against my blue eyes and fair skin. The formula isn’t anything special, it gives a sheer wash of colour but can be built up with a little effort.

MAC Satin Taupe

This was my first MAC purchase a couple of years ago. Like the Make Up Forever shadow above, this is a taupe shade with a slight shimmer but no glitter. I’m not a huge fan of MAC eyeshadows but this shade caught my attention.

Kiko Milano Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow – Mat Taupe

Again, I picked this up on Black Friday and have instantly fell in love with it. It’s a really great base to layer shadows on top of but actually looks great alone too. It’s called Mat Taupe but it’s more of a chocolate shade, definitely not as cool as a taupe shade.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecter – Opal

Yes, this is a highlighter but I’m far too pale to use it as such; it makes a fantastic eyeshadow, though! Of course it’s highly pigmented and shimmery beyond anything else I own but this works really well as a topper when you just want a little more glitter!

What are your favourite single shadows?
