So, I decided to go home last weekend, and when I go home I tend not to take too much make up with me, I rarely need any.
This make up bag is from Clinque; It was a part of one of their Bonus Events at Debenhams sometime earlier this year. It’s the idea size for a quick trip home and means I can’t pack too much!
For base items I chose to take my NYX Mineral Stick Foundation. This is super quick and easy to apply; no fuss, no mess and blends out seamlessly in minutes. I also chose the Bourjois Radience Reveal Concealer as it’s a brilliant 2-in-1 product; it conceals any blemishes reasonably well and covers any dark circles under my eyes without drying out the area. I’m loving Bourjois’ Rice Powder at the minute, it’s brilliant for setting make up down to a matte finish without actually looking matte. it has a subtle shimmer running through it to give you a lovely healthy glow.
For cheeks I decided to keep it simple with my trusty Becca Flowerchild blusher; I don’t need to use bronzer when I use Flowechild as it works amazingly to perk up my super-pale complextion. I also chose this Maybelline highlighter just in case I fancied it!
For eyes I decided to not give myself too many options. I don’t know about you but when I travel I always pack way too many eyeshadows and liners! This time, I only packed my trusty NARS duo in Kalahari and my Colourpop liner in Mr. Bing. They probably wouldn’t work too well together, but separately they are two of my favourite eye products. I also packed my new favourite mascara by Essence and my trust brow combo; ABH Brow Wiz in Caramel and Benefit Gimmie Brow in No.3.
I never usually write about brushes and tools, but since this is a travel kit I thought I’d give them a mention. I brought with me my new PS Beauty (Primark) oval brush to try out with the NYX stick foundation – so far so good! Also, my Real Techniques Setting Brush and Sponge came with me as per usual. Can’t be without those bad boys! I brought some of my Morphe set; a powder brush and an eye blender brush. These brushes, if anyone was wondering, are brilliant for the cost! So cheap but so soft and blends products out perfectly. Finally, I have my Eco Tools duo brush. This comes everywhere with me; it’s the only liner brush I can use!
Unfortunately, I forgot to pack any lip products this time, but thankfully I had my trusty Carmex lip balm in my bag to soothe my ridiculously chapped lips!
What do you pack in your travel make up bags? Let me know down in the comments!
