I love making these tuna burgers as a quick lunch-time meal. It makes 2 burgers and takes about 15 minutes from start to finish. Quick and simple, and fills you up right through to dinner.
1 tin of tuna
A few hand fulls of breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to season
This is such a simple recipe, open and drain your tin of tuna and empty it into a bowl. Add in the salt and pepper (add any other ingredients at this point – onion works great), then crack an egg into the bowl. Mix it all together and then pour in a few hand fulls of breadcrumbs to bind it.
Separate the mixture into two equal balls and squash into burger shapes. I find that a circular mould helps to do this easier.
Heat some oil in a frying pan and fry your burgers for a few minutes on each side, until they’re golden brown and crispy.
